A Fortune In 'Back End' Products For Entertainers

BACK END PRODUCTS

All famous celebrities and performers always have a back end products. This may consist of a Book, a Record, Autograph sessions, sheet music rights, etc. Magicians and entertainers, if involved in a big engagement, may also request the right to sell a back end product.

There are big bucks in Back End Products!

Many performers perform the show just to sell Back End products! A Hypnotist very often sells self improvement tapes to stop smoking, stop eating, and other self improvement topics. During the performance, he simply mentions that these tapes are available for sale after the show, Back end sales will be and additional several hundred dollars for each performance. These back end sales are in addition to the several hundred dollars for each performance - and are usually ALL CASH!

Psychic readers and Mentalists often provide private readings or demonstrations and lecture after the performance. A Psychic entertainer can usually get $40-$60 for a half hour reading. Every Mentalist or Psychic should scout the Internet and buy a $100-$200 Horoscope or Numerology program that they can run on their laptop and portable printer. You can sell personal computerized horoscopes and numerology at $10 per report. This will make you another $100-$200 after the show, per act, and will pay the costs of your software program on the first night!

Selling Back end products like self-improvement audio tapes, CD's, books, Horoscopes, or even custom made lucky charms are often sold after the show by Mentalists and Psychics. This provides for an addition $200-$500 of cash in addition to the show fee. If you are a Psychic Entertainer, many people will want private readings. A business card will get them into your office.

You can sell these products at you own private table in the back. In most cases, the event will give it to you for FREE, just for the asking! Other people will see you there reading/selling them stuff and they too will be enticed to check out what you have to offer. A good sales pitch that can close customers 80% of the time can learned in our other home study video course "The Art Of The Pitch". Ask your dealer or check out www.MagiciansMakingMoney.com on the Internet. This is a cheap investment of about a hundred bucks or so, and will well increase your ability to close sales dramatically.

It is best not the allow the client or booking agent to take a percentage of these back-end sales. Offer a slightly lower performance fee, if you must, to the agent or client, and the agent will make some extra cash up front, or pass some of the savings along to the client.

Many performances are only around to get the back end sales! (like me!). For example: Music CD sales and souvenir sales from a rock band performance, far exceed the profit from their performances (Remember our Hypnotist example earlier? I mean the ‘$512,500.00 - each year’ example. You didn’t forget that one yet - did you? He made more money from back end sales, then his shows!)

Advertising is Key. Even if your back end products are only 'after the show' products or mail order Horoscopes, make sure you hand out lots of business cards and flyers with them. They are cheap and produce big profits.
